CBD For Pets
Taos is taking two drops of Charlotte’s Web CBD oil for dogs with breakfast and two with dinner. The dispenser is really easy to use. You just pump the top for the CBD oil to come out. I put it right on his food and he seems to enjoy it since I see him licking his bowl after each meal which he normally doesn’t do. He loves treats but he can be picky at times so it was good to see that he enjoyed the flavor of it. I noticed the difference in him almost instantly. Taos is a Husky German Shepherd mix with some anxiety and in need of lots of exercise or he starts causing some trouble. He’s still young and under two years old so he gets that puppy playfulness sometimes. When there are no humans in the house he will howl and cry. When he hasn’t had enough exercise he will pace or constantly be waiting for someone to be at the door. He’s relaxed while someone is just sitting watching tv or working though. This week I had a lot going on and was not able to do our normal amount of exercise which seemed like a good time to test the CBD oil for dogs. He acted as if I had taken him on intense adventures every day. I noticed that he didn’t seem as antsy every time I would get up or go to the front door. He slept a lot during the week or would at least relax even when I was out of the house. When he is pent up with energy he will get me out of bed in the morning. Once he hears the alarm clock he is trying to get the covers off and my attention. All week he was less persistent about getting out of bed. He slept in a few extra hours one day even. Other people who know Taos well have even commented on how relaxed he seems. He seems happy and content, not tight with anxiety. Even though he’s been more relaxed, once we are out doing an activity he still has the same energy to run around. We do dog sledding on the weekend and I noticed that he still has the energy level to pull all morning and that he was more focused than usual. At the dog park he still ran around for a while with and without other dogs. He was able to concentrate on fetch which he can’t always seem to stay focused on bringing the ball back to me. Even when he’s very excited he’s not dragging me around because he’s listening to me and being more aware and focused. I’m really happy with how he’s doing so far and I’m excited to see how he continues on this product.
Taos continues to have two drops of CBD oil for dogs with breakfast and two drops of CBD oil with dinner each night. I have noticed that he seems much calmer especially when I leave the house. He tends to have anxiety when no one is at home. He still has chewed a few things but not to the extent that he has in the past. His energy level is still high when we go to the dog park or go out dogsledding. Taos seems to enjoy the CBD oil or does not notice it in his food or if placed on treats, which I did try once. I am happy to see him feeling so good and does not seem to be as sore the next day after sledding. He still rests a lot and will take naps throughout the day but he used to always lay down pretty immediately if I stopped moving around. I find that he looks fresh and rested with his movements. I also have noticed that he is listening even better than usual. When working on recall outside he is focused and returning more quickly. He has also been sleeping very soundly at night no matter how much or how little work he does during the day. He tends to stir a bit at night trying to find cold spots on the bed or floor but I find him sleeping on the bed in the morning more lately where he fell asleep. When my alarm goes off he is not jumping all over me or trying to play with my other dog. He calmly lays next to me and looks at me like he usually does when he is exhausted. This is the part I love the most. Once I am out of bed he is excited to run out of the room but he is not trying to wake me up or get overly excited in the mornings. I do not like the spray bottle for the CBD oil as much. When I press the top, sometimes it is a full squirt and sometimes it looks like a half squirt. I would prefer a dropper for his food so I can easily get the same size drop each time or a treat form that is always the same. If the CBD oil gets low in the bottle or if I do not hold it correctly, the pump does not always work as well, but I do not want to pump it again and give him too much. I like the way the CBD oil coats his food though and I do not find remnants after he is done eating so nothing is going to waste. I also find him licking the bowl which is a good sign that the CBD oil does not taste strange to him. I only feed him dry food so it easily sits right on top and it does not soak the food. It is also not overly delicious where I am afraid to leave it out and have him try to get it off the counter.
Charlotte’s Web CBD oil for dogs has been helping Taos a lot. I have been continuing to give him two pumps in his breakfast and two pumps in his dinner. Throughout the day while I am working in my office at my computer he naps on and off. He has not been bothering me for attention at all. He does not paw at me or cry, he just relaxes a lot. When I leave the house I find that he is not barking, howling or crying as much as he used to in the past. Taos also has not been destroying things after being home for a long period of time. The week was relatively relaxing with not a lot of time out and about until the weekend. The CBD oil for dogs has been helping with Taos staying calm even when we cannot get out as much to exercise as I would like to. I like the balance with seeing him relaxed and calm but not depleted of energy. He seems able to bounce back the next day really well even though sometimes we are doing lots of activities back to back with a lot of running and playing. Over the weekend we did get out to hike in the snow. The snow was sort of deep and the dogs were just running around having a blast. I know it takes a lot out of them but I feel like I see a difference in Taos after using Charlotte’s Web CBD oil for dogs. It has helped him bounce back after strenuous days without the insanity. The biggest thing so far though is the anxiety and having him be able to relax more throughout the day and when I am out of the house. That has been a huge change.
I love the packaging on the bottle of Charlotte’s Web CBD oil for dogs but the tinted color makes it hard to see exactly how much I have left. I was having trouble pumping the CBD oil out and I thought it was because I ran out. When I finally got some light behind the bottle I could see that I actually had a good amount left but the pump does not seem to work that well with full squirts now. This can be a little frustrating since I do not have a dropper to measure how much Taos should be getting. I wish there was a better way to get a solid pump even when the CBD oil is below the halfway point. Taos is still receiving two pumps of CBD oil every morning and every night. If he does not finish his meal (which may happen if he sees me prepping for a hike and gets too excited) then I do not add more CBD oil to his next meal. I love that he still licks up his entire bowl. He is not always so excited to eat meals but I see him licking the bowl clean after the food is gone. We had a really quiet week, I had left Taos with my roommate for the day while I went snowboarding and he did great. I’ve found that he has the hardest time when I am out of the house all day, but when my roommate came home from work it was reported that Taos had done a great job. This has really changed everything for me being able to leave him safely at home for the day. Over the weekend we got outside for dog sledding and he was focused and energetic. He even pulled someone on skis a few times and almost took the guy off his feet. I love seeing how he listens so much better now and stays focused on the task of pulling the sled and slowing down when we say to. Taos also has been listening better to leave small distractions alone which used to be a big problem for him and he would pull the sled off trail. The CBD oil has really worked wonders for changing how Taos acts during intense activities.
